Barnardo’s Retail reached out to me for help supporting their e-commerce and social teams with copywriting best practices. as the retail arm of the charity, they needed a refresh on writing with conversion in mind and how they could best implement their brand tone of voice across the different channels of the business.

i audited the team’s social, web and email copy to understand where improvements could be made. i then took these findings, along with the brand’s tone of voice guidelines, and used this to create an interactive workshop for the team to help them better understand how they could improve their copywriting on each channel.

i received great feedback from all teams following the workshop, with several attendees emailing me personally to say how much they enjoyed the session and how much they learnt from it. following on from the workshop, I further built a relationship with the retail team and worked with them to produce the copy for their entire summer 2023 pre-loved fashion campaign. this spanned web, email, social and OOH marketing.
